The idea for a vintage rentals company was born while planning a wedding. After envisioning a eco-friendly barn wedding with vintage and rustic décor and being disappointed at what was available from local rental companies, Anita Riggleman, owner of Valley Heirlooms, gathered vintage items to use at her own wedding. To help other brides and event planners, Valley Heirlooms now offers vintage rental items for the Shenandoah Valley.
Anita’s love of antique and vintage pieces began at a young age. As a child, her parents took her to auctions and her grandmother taught her how to crochet and passed on an appreciation of antique quilts, clothing, and hats. After years of treasure hunting at yard sales, thrift shops, flea markets, and auctions, she is sharing some of her collection through a rental company offering rustic, shabby chic, vintage, eclectic, antique, and one-of-a-kind items. In addition to an obsession for vintage, her planning and organizational skills and her attention to detail will insure that your event has the unique look you want to achieve.
At Valley Heirlooms, we encourage and support environmentally conscious actions. By saving items from the landfill and reusing and upcycling unused items, we are “green” at heart. You are also making an eco-friendly decision by choosing vintage tableware and décor instead of throw away plastic or paper items.
